Palabra de vida Marzo 2009 No hay imposibles “Les aseguro que todo lo que pidan al Padre, él se lo concederá en mi Nombre”. (Jn, 16,23)1 El espectáculo más absurdo que puedes observar en este mundo es por una parte la presencia de personas desorientadas, siempre en la búsqueda, que ante las inevitables pruebas de la vida, sienten la angustia de la necesidad, de la ayuda y el sentido de la orfandad y, por otra, la realidad de Dios, Padre de todos, que nada desea tanto cuanto usar su omnipotencia para atender a los deseos y a las necesidades de sus hijos. Es como un vacío que invoca la plenitud. Es como la plenitud que invoca un vacío. Pero no se encuentran. La libertad de la cual el hombre está dotado puede hacer también este daño. Pero Dios no deja de ser Amor para aquellos que lo reconocen. Escucha lo que dice Jesús: “Les aseguro que todo lo que pidan al Padre, Él se lo concederá en mi Nombre”. Y aquí estamos, tomando en consideración una de esas palabras ricas de promesas que cada tanto Jesús repite en el Evangelio. Con ellas te enseña, con acentos y explicaciones varias, cómo obtener lo que necesitas. Sólo Dios puede hablar así. Sus posibilidades no tienen límites. Todas las gracias están en su poder. Las terrenas, las espirituales, las posibles y las imposibles. Pero escucha bien. Él te sugiere “cómo” debes presentarte al Padre para tu pedido. “En mi Nombre”, dice. Si tienes un poco de fe estas tres breves palabras deberían darte alas. Mira, Jesús, que vivió aquí, entre nosotros, conoce las infinitas necesidades que tenemos y que tienes, y siente pena por nosotros. Y entonces, por cuanto concierne a la oración, se pone Él de por medio, y es como si te dijera: “Anda a ver al Padre de mi parte, y pídele esto y después esto otro y después aquello”. Él sabe que el Padre no puede decirle que no. Es su Hijo y es Dios. No vayas al Padre en tu nombre, sino en nombre de Cristo. ¿Recuerdas el dicho: “El embajador no lleva pena”? Tú, al ir al Padre en nombre de Cristo, funcionas como simple embajador. Los negocios se resuelven entre los dos interesados. Así rezan muchísimos cristianos que podrían dar testimonio de las innumerables gracias recibidas. Éstas revelan cotidianamente que sobre ellos vigila, atenta y amorosamente, la paternidad de Dios. A este punto puede ser que tú me respondas: “Pedí, pedí, en el nombre de Cristo, pero no obtuve”. Puede ser. Te dije antes que Jesús invita a pedir en otros pasajes del Evangelio, y da ulteriores explicaciones, que tal vez se te escaparon. Él dice, por ejemplo, que obtiene quien “permanece” en Él, y quiere decir en su voluntad. Entonces, puede ser que hayas pedido algo que no está en el designio de Dios sobre ti, y Dios no lo ve útil para tu existencia sobre esta tierra o en la otra vida, o piensa incluso que es dañino. ¿Cómo hace Él, que es tu Padre, para escucharte en estos casos? Te engañaría, y esto no lo haría jamás. Y entonces será útil que, antes de rezar, tú te pongas de acuerdo con Él y le digas: “Padre, yo te pido ésto en nombre de Jesús, si te parece que es un bien”. Y si la gracia pedida se condice con el plan que Dios en su amor pensó para ti, se cumplirá la palabra: “Les aseguro que todo lo que pidan al Padre, Él se lo concederá en mi Nombre”. Puede ser también que pidas gracias, pero no tengas ninguna intención de adecuar tu vida a cuanto Dios te pide. En este caso, ¿te parece justo que Dios te escuche? Él no quiere darte solamente un regalo, quiere darte la felicidad plena. Y ésta se obtiene tratando de vivir los mandamientos de Dios, sus palabras. No basta pensarlas solamente, ni siquiera limitarse a meditarlas, hace falta vivirlas. Si haces esto, obtendrás todo. Concluyendo: ¿quieres obtener gracias? Pide lo que quieras, en el nombre de Cristo, poniendo tu primera atención a su voluntad, con la decisión de obedecer la ley de Dios. Dios es muy feliz de otorgar gracias.
